American Black and Tan Coonhound Association

2012 BLACK AND TAN SECTIONAL GUIDELINES

Sectional Guidelines

Please note that the Black & Tan Association voted to go back to award trophies for King & Queen of Hunt/Show winners at Sectional events for 2012. We are still trying to hold down the fees for teh host clubs by going to a different type of trophy. The new fee will be $150.00 to host a sectional in 2012.

Applying for a Sectional

1. To apply, contact the Executive Vice President of the Association

2. The Executive Vice President will provide an application, or an application may be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page.  The application must be completely filled out and post marked no later than Feb 1st of the year the sectional is to be held. For clubs wishing to hold a hunt during the months of Jan., Feb., or Mar., send application no later than 120 days prior to event.

3. All sectionals must include one show and one hunt. Two night sectionals, scheduled for Friday and Saturday of the same weekend will be given preference but single day events will be allowed at the discretion of the Executive Vice President. Sectionals must be at least 100 miles apart.

4. All sectionals must be approved by the Executive Vice President. One sectional per club per calendar year. The Executive Vice President will send the club a letter confirming the approval of the sectional.

5. The current fee of $150.00 MUST ACCOMPANY the application. This fee partially defrays the cost of awards. If the application is denied, the club’s check will be refunded. Checks or money orders must be made out to the
